This notice describes the current ShlamaMatch beta app and this website. Contact shlamamatch@hotmail.com with privacy questions or requests.
What you provide
Account information includes your email, password credentials, name, and date of birth. Your profile includes the details you choose to enter, such as city and country, gender and preferences, relationship intention, background, family origins, languages, religion, and biography. Profile details can reveal sensitive information; consider what you want other members to see.
The app also stores your three profile photos, a separate review selfie, photo-review status and notes, likes and passes, matches, messages, blocks, and reports. If you contact support, the information you send is used to respond to your request.
Why we use it
- Create and authenticate your account, confirm your email, and support password recovery.
- Check the app’s 18+ age requirement and display your age on your member profile.
- Save your profile, compare profile photos with your review selfie, and manage approval and publication.
- Show eligible members in Discover according to profile preferences and available filters.
- Support mutual likes, matches, messages, blocks, reports, and account deletion.
- Investigate technical problems and respond to support and safety concerns.
What other members can see
When you choose to publish an approved profile, eligible signed-in members can see your profile photos, name, age, and the profile details you share. Your full birthday, account email, and separate review selfie are not displayed on that member profile. Message recipients can see messages you send them.
Pausing hides your profile from Discover. It does not end existing matches or prevent existing matched members from messaging you. Use unmatch or block to end those connections. Other people may retain screenshots or copies of information you previously shared.
Photo review and administrative access
The app owner reviews submitted profile photos and the separate selfie, and records review decisions and private notes. Authorized administration and service infrastructure can process account information to operate the app and address issues. A “Photos reviewed” status is manual photo comparison; it is not liveness testing, government-ID verification, or a guarantee of identity.
Service providers and technical information
ShlamaMatch uses Supabase for authentication, account data, and uploaded media. Email-delivery infrastructure processes account email addresses and authentication messages. TestFlight distribution is provided by Apple. This website is hosted through OpenAI Sites and its hosting infrastructure. These services may process technical information such as IP addresses, requests, timestamps, and error logs, and may process information outside your country.
This website does not contain a signup form, advertising pixels, or analytics scripts added by ShlamaMatch. Following an external link or contacting us through your email service is subject to that service’s own privacy practices.
Retention and deletion
Your saved account data is used while you maintain an account. You can use Delete account in the app to request removal of your account, profile, uploaded photos, and account connections. Pausing your profile does not delete it. If deletion fails, retry or contact support.
Deletion of active app records does not promise immediate removal from service-provider backups, technical logs, or correspondence you separately sent to support. Provider-managed copies are subject to those providers’ retention processes. Contact us for information about a specific record or retention request.
Your choices and requests
You can edit your details, change your visibility, and delete your account in the app. You may also contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or an explanation of how your information is used. We may need to verify that the request relates to your own account before responding. Never email your password or verification code.
ShlamaMatch is for adults 18 and older. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, contact support. Updates to this notice will be published here as the app evolves.
